Use Xoom (a PayPal service) to send money from the US, Canada, UK, EEA or Australia to an Alipay account. No crypto needed — usually arrives within minutes.

Steps

Sign in to Xoom

Go to xoom.com, or PayPal app → Menu → Send and Pay → Xoom
Sign in with your PayPal account (create one if needed)
New accounts have sending limits; raise them with ID if prompted

Enter the recipient

Choose China → Mobile Wallet → Alipay, then fill in the recipient.

Select China and enter the amount
Choose Mobile Wallet → Alipay as the receive method
Enter the recipient’s Alipay-linked phone and name

Pay and send

Pick a payment method, check the fees, then send.

Pay with PayPal balance, bank account, debit or credit card
The fee and the exact CNY amount are shown before you send — check them
Tap send; it usually arrives within minutes

Fees & limits (approximate — confirm on the send screen)

$0 fee on eligible sends (bank payment above a threshold, e.g. $1,000+ from the US)
The real cost is the exchange-rate markup (~2–4%)
Paying by credit card may add a cash-advance fee from your bank
New accounts: $2,999 / 24h sending limit (raisable with ID)
Receiving cap: 50,000 CNY per transfer; the recipient may need to verify within 24–72h
